What Vehicles are eligible?
Specific NORRA vehicle eligibility is fully detailed in the NORRA Rule Set. Eligible vehicles are separated into two main groupings; Vintage and Alternative Fuel. Vintage vehicles are pre 1989. Some of the vintage classes will be further segregated by technology breakpoints to keep consistency of like vehicles competing against like vehicles. Alternative Fuel Vehicles are OPEN CLASS Vehicles running a fuel other than traditional racing fuel or pump gas.

What can I expect on the course? How rough is it? Can my vehicle make it?
The course uses existing dirt roads, some graded and very fast, and some twisty and technical. In short, the course has been laid out specifically to be suitable for vintage vehicles to have a safe and enjoyable run. The liaisons were deliberately chosen to route competitors around the sections of the baja desert that are no longer appropriate for a vintage vehicle. This is not the desert version of “Victory at Sea”.

What services are available?
This is a fully supported Rally. Full Service Pit Support is available through our Official Provider, MAG 7, entrants must become Mag 7 Members and can find all the necessary information on their website. Motorsports Medical is providing rescue service and we have also made arrangements with local ambulance and emergency medical providers to ensure that any participants involved in an accident will receive prompt, professional treatment and/or evacuation as the situation requires.

Will aggressive driving be permitted?
Nerfing or bumping a fellow competitor out of the way will not be tolerated under any circumstance.  It is imperative that all drivers, regardless of pace and skill level, respect their fellow competitors and equipment.  The result of abusive driving reported to Rally Officials may lead to disqualification from the event.   A simple rule to follow… if you overtake a slower vehicle, give them the opportunity to yield.  For vehicles being overtaken, keep an eye in the rearview mirror and yield to faster competitors.
